Saturday morning we started off with a train ride up to Helsingborg, stopping for a visit to the old castle remains where we got a view of the city below with Denmark in the distance.
The next leg of our journey was a short ferry ride across the sea to Helsingør, Denmark.
Once across the sea we walked the old castle grounds. I was surprised to figure out that I had been to this castle before on my first visit to Scandinavia. Have I really been here long enough that I am revisiting important sites?
Alisa, Joe, and Kate looking pretty excited about ice cream.
Me and Min messing around in front of the museum before we reached the castle entrance.

After Helsingør, we made our way to Copenhagen by two different trains. We found most of the public transportation pretty straightforward but it also helped that we became pretty unafraid of asking strangers for directions. The Danes are known for being a friendly people after all.
Once in CPH, we set out to Nyhavn for some traditional Danish food. I had like the best salmon of my life there, but I was almost too full to eat it after my first course of shellfish bisque. Seriously delicious.
Joe left us after our late lunch to make it back in time for a Swedish crayfish party, but we continued on to see a little more of the city and to try and catch a glimpse of "The Mermaid."

Thanks to Alisa for all the pictures!!
