Girls Dinner!
Cali girls (plus Johanna!) in Lund called for a celebratory dinner with - what else? - Mexican food.
Delicious food + good friends = great night
Mom in Sweden Part 2
The first time my mom came to visit me in Sweden, it was during Christmastime with miserably rainy freezing weather. However, the worst part really was the red days that prevented us from buying a bottle of wine for about a week! More prepared for this visit with pinot grigio stocked in the fridge and with better weather, we spent this visit constantly on the move with the sun shining on our faces.
Day 1: Arrival!
Day 2: Trip to Gothenburg
Day 3: All Day in Gothenburg
Day 4: Gothenburg to Lund
After a whirlwind couple of days in Gothenburg (definitely the coolest city in Sweden I have been to thus far!), we took an early train ride back to Lund so that we could spend some time hanging out in the city where I actually live. While this sounded like a good idea at the time, we didn't really think things through. By switching to an earlier train back to Lund that meant we'd be arriving before Alex got home from work, which meant that I would need my key to get back into the apartment so we could unload our luggage. Unfortunately, I had completely forgotten my key to the apartment in the apartment. So we arrived at my front door with a ton of luggage and no key. On the plus side, I do have a backyard. So we went around the back, crawled through the bushes and trees and made a fort out of a lounge chair, table, chairs, and tomato plants and left everything in the backyard and escaped before anyone could witness us leaving everything out in the open.
We then walked all the way back to the center of Lund and spent five hours wandering around the city center - which is quite a good chunk of time considering how small Lund is!
That day was topped off with a belated birthday dinner celebration for me at Ved in Lund.
Day 5: Österlen
Day 6: Copenhagen
Day 1: Arrival!

Day 7: Lund
While most of my mom's visit was also a vacation for me, I did have to squeeze some work in too. I spent a few hours in the afternoon at Tetra Pak Processing and then prepared dinner for friends and family. After some pasta, wine, and laughter we also managed to make an appearance at Biggie's surprise birthday party. Success!
Day 8: Malmö - Lund - Lomma
Malmö - St. Peter's Church
Lund
Lomma
Day 9: Until we meet again!!!
